Our mini-vacations...

It has always been a goal of ours to finally take a vacation. While we planned for one, it didn't actually happen, at least not a full vacation. Instead we decided to do mini-vacations over the weekend. Our first day was spent at the bowling alley teaching Mackenzie how to bowl.
With our Wii at home she has seen bowling on tv but never participated in the event. So we rented a lane, got our bowling balls and toss them down the lane. She was scared at first but came to enjoy the game thanks to bumper pads and the awesome handy ball roller at the alley. We played ten frames and she almost beat me! She had a blast watching the pins fall and the crash sound they make.
Next vacation is to the stock show! Mackenzie loves animals. And what better place to take her then the stock show to see all the animals. While the cows were huge and she was actually quite scared of them, the llamas and alpacas were her favorite! She was wanting to touch one but chickened out at the last minute.
We would have stayed longer but she was coming to the end of her day and wanting a nap really bad! So we packed up our new stick horse and came home.
She had a blast and as did Tim and I. It was a nice day outside to walk around and see all the animals.
While our mini-vacations are not over yet, it still has been a great weekend together!
